Our digital music library contains over 90,000 songs! Realistically only a very small percentage of them are routinely requested or played, but it's nice to know they're available if needed. We want to reiterate that our expertise encompasses many musical genres and eras, and although we specialize in hits of the 1980s and 1990s, we play current artists too! We simply decided to specialize in hits of the 1980s and 1990s because we find them more fun. There are a variety of other reasons as well. For example, most of the performers could actually sing and play instruments, most of the music was original, and most of the lyrics weren't blatantly offensive.
Below are examples of the genres we regularly play for any given occasion. Keep in mind that many artists frequently span multiple decades, or have crossover hits, which makes them more difficult to categorize. Classic Rock, for example, used to comprise just the 1960s and 1970s, but has expanded to include the 1960s through the 1990s, and although Prince is classified in R&B/Funk, he has some hard-driving Rock guitar songs.
Bottom line: We play music that everybody knows, so prepare to have fun—and lots of it!
